With “The Ocean Rise” series, my intent is to translate the words and images I encounter through my “underwater journeys” into ceramics and paintings, creating spaces for reflection and understanding.

My work is deeply connected to its surroundings.

I create using materials I gather sea water, sand, natural pigments, plastic, and metal.

I work outdoors, in close conversation with the elements;

the landscape and weather speak, and I listen.

Sun, wind, rain, day, night, surfaces, smells, energy:

I let the pieces “create themselves.”

I feel the material, and through my body, I transform it to a higher state.

My pieces become portals to a different place, a transfiguration of time and space.
